I struggled with a way to narrow down my ideas to come up with my action research. My innovation plan is in blended learning- specifically station rotation, but I wanted to narrow it down more. I couldn't decided between gifted education or using book clubs in a station rotation.
I am a GT teacher, and I am very passionate about gifted education, but I couldn't find a lot of information or case studies on gifted students and blended learning together. Then, I also had a hard time linking book clubs to blende learning as an action research project, so I decided to step a little back from it and just do the effects that blended learning has on reading comprehension and fluency.
I may still have trouble finding research to support me, but there are always ways to re-word the way you search for things as well as the place you search for them. Academic journals and previous research will be a great place to start.
I figured out that qualitative as well as quantitative research will be appropriate to use for my action research. You can go here to read my action research outline.
