Here's a Bit of My Story...
Just Me
Hi! My name is Chastity Crissman, but I have gone by Charlie for my entire life.. thanks to my Pappy!! I am currently working on my second master's degree at Lamar University. My first is in Teacher Leadership with a focus on Gifted and Talented and the current one is in Applied Digital Learning. I am a single mom of a sassy 13 year old girl that was named after Elvis. She has been the motivation for everything I do! She is the reason I left bartending and went back to college at the age of 36 to become a teacher.
I have a passion for my own learning and for helping ALL of my students realize their own potential. A growth mindset is all you need in order to achieve and succeed!

My Professional Life
I started my teaching career in Waller ISD at Roberts Road Elementary where I worked for 5 years. In those 5 years i worked as a STAAR tutor, then as a 1st grade teacher, a second grade, and a Pre-K teacher.
I am currently in my 3rd year in Pasadena ISD at Genoa Elementary as a 1st grade teacher.
My Education
I started my first year of college a year after high school. It wasn't for me all those years ago, so I moved 6 states away. I worked for many years in the service industry until I had my daughter and decided it was time to go back to college... Now I can't stop learning!

2018-2020 Lamar University- Master's Degree #1 (Gifted & Talented)
2021- current Lamar University- Master's Degree #2 (Applied Digital Learning)
